We are currently playing all of our games online.

Grand Slam Bridge Club at the Asheville JCC and the Asheville Bridge Room have combined forces to provide a single online bridge playing experience.

Special Games

For information on special games, please subscribe to our eNews Flyer.

Standard game fees are $5.00 per player / 18 to 21 boards depending on the number of tables and sections.

We no longer play The Common Game hands as some clubs were playing the same deals we were with games starting after ours ended. We play the same boards on Monday, Wednesday & Friday as Boone, Hickory & Morganton.

Topboard.net offers a review of our Wednesday Open game and Thursday 0-750 Game. Visit their website for more info.

Old Website

Looking for the old website?

Those were the days my friends, we thought they’d never end….
Little could we ever imagine…
(back when we used to sit face to face at bridge tables)

The old website service is up for renewal. We are going to let it expire as results from online bridge are not supported on the old site.  You may still have time to view it before it goes offline.  Old Website

Our History

As far as I can tell looking at ACBL records, the year was 2009, Linda Brown started Grand Slam Duplicate Bridge. My first introduction to the club was an evening game held at a Century 21 office in Weaverville. Linda ran the club for years and then I came along (Jonathan Friedel). For the next two years Linda taught me how to manage a club, run the ACBL computer program and help me overcome the fears of directing.

Over the years Linda held games at numerous locations. We finally settled at the Ashville JCC where we would still be playing today except for that COVID-19.

On April 10th 2020 we invited the Asheville Bridge Room to join forces and offer a joint Asheville Clubs game on Bridge Base as no F2F bridge is currently taking place.
